The Mutual Charter encompasses 14 simultaneous visual art projects, each an example of an international collaboration, a conversation across continents between artists made visible by a series of exhibitions, events, screenings and interventions in Glasgow throughout this year's GI festival 20th April-7th May.

OPENING EVENT: Subcity Vile Arts and Mutual Charter Radio Event 22 April 11.00-19.00
CCA, 350 Sauchiehall Street

45 artists from 4 continents are working in collaboration as part of the 14 diverse projects of the Mutual Charter. The Mutual are collaborating with Vile Arts and Sub City Radio to make this exciting visual arts activity visible (and audible).
 
Recorded live over the course of one day in the CCA’s Saramango café each of the projects will translate their project and their collaboration into the medium of radio. The radio recordings will be scheduled in half hour slots from 11am to 7pm with acoustic performances and DJ sets from Subcity regulars after 7pm to keep the party going until late. The recordings will broadcast on Subcity radio during the 18 days of this years GI festival and available as podcasts to download online.

CLOSING EVENT: The Mutual Charter Rally and Publication Launch

Trongate 103

To mark the end of the Mutual Charter a publication will be launched to unite the 14 international projects. This will be publicized and distributed through a city centre procession encompassing all the artists, designers, technicians and volunteers who have been involved in the delivery of Mutual Charter. The procession will stop at each of the Mutual Charter Muster Points en-route collecting a banner from each, starting at Trongate 103, via the Lighthouse and the CCA and ending at the Glue Factory at 6pm.
